Foster Care Fortnight: Portsmouth charity Fair Ways leads call for more foster carers

As the fostering community comes together across the UK to celebrate Foster Care Fortnight and highlight the special moments fostering enables, local charity Fair Ways is leading the call for more foster carers to come forward to look after local children.

Why should I become a foster carer?

Fostering is one of the most rewarding careers you can choose, it not only makes a positive difference to the children you look after, but also enriches your life in ways you never imagined.

If you believe that all children deserve a safe and loving home and would like the chance to give some of society’s most vulnerable children a second chance and a brighter future, then we believe fostering is for you.

Who should I foster with?

This is one of the most important questions to consider when starting your fostering journey. Fair Ways is your answer.

Fair Ways fostering is one of the few agencies in the region rated outstanding by Ofsted, the highest rating possible. 

The charity is recognised for the high levels of support it offers to its foster carers and the young people in its care.

Much of this support comes from Fair Ways’  experienced and knowledgeable team who accompany carers every step of the way, guiding and advising whenever they are needed.

Fair Ways also offer therapeutic support from its Hub service, which consists of a team of clinical practitioners who can offer care to young people and carers.
