Police hunt man who allegedly pepper sprayed Portsmouth homeowners in burglary

Officers were called to a house in Steerforth Close in Buckland yesterday afternoon after reports a man with his face covered entered the property and used pepper spray on the people inside before he demanded that they hand over money.
A police spokesman said: ‘We’re investigating an aggravated burglary which took place in Portsmouth on Saturday (June 13).

Hide Ad‘Police were called at 3.03pm with reports that a man entered a house on Steerforth Close, before spraying the occupants with pepper spray and demanding money.
‘Nothing was stolen during the incident.
‘The man, who had his face covered, was described as white, aged in his 20s, wearing a green jacket and gloves.
‘Did you see a man matching this description in this area, or the surrounding areas on that afternoon? Who was he with? Did he get into a vehicle?’
A witness told The News that there were three ambulances, a 4x4, two police cars and an incident response unit outside the house yesterday afternoon.
