A man had to rescued from a roof after trying to break into the Wedgewood Rooms
POLICE closed off part of Albert Road so a man could be rescued from a roof.

The man told police he was not allowed into the Wedgewood Rooms in Albert Road, Southsea, and then became stuck on the roof when trying to break in at just before 11pm on Friday.

Police and fire services were sent to get him down.

Firefighters from Southsea fire station helped police.

The man was not hurt, and was not arrested.
