First Cuestars silver final for Laxton
Last season's bronze tour championship play-off winner went down 2-0 to home player Shane Kearns at Jesters Snooker Club.
The 13-year-old beat the Essex-based rankings leader Louie Leighton 2-1 in the semi-finals and Waterlooville Sports Bar club-mate Zak Truscott 2-0 in the last-eight.

Hide AdIt was the first time Truscott had qualified for the silver knockout.
Callum White progressed to the quarter-finals for the first time this season but was knocked out 2-0 by Fordingbridge teenager Kaine Petty.
Joint fourth-placed Jamie Wilson and Elliott Weston continued their runs of qualifying for the gold knockout at every event this season.
Wilson, 14, was defeated 2-0 in the last-eight by the eventual tournament winner and rankings leader Bradley Cowdroy.

Hide AdAnd Weston, who is based at Top Spot Snooker Club, Havant, lost 2-1 to Ryan Hughes at the same stage.
Owen Jenkins retains the lead in the bronze tour rankings.
The 10-year-old, who won the opening two legs, lost 2-1 to club-mate Thomas Sharp in the last-eight.
For the third event running, Sharp went out 2-0 in the semi-finals to Dylan Smith, from Tunbridge Wells.
He is now joint third in the rankings with tournament winner Harry Wyatt, an eight-year-old from Ferndown, whom he beat in the round-robin group stages.

Hide AdAnd George Laxton, 11, had some close games on his debut to prove he can compete at this level.
Three days later, 14-year-old Sharp recorded his highest break of 30 against Jenkins in the Wednesday Junior Snooker League at Waterlooville Sports Bar.
But he still lost all four matches. Â
Defending champion Laxton was undefeated in the week-18 fixtures and took over top spot in division one by four points from Wilson.
Fourth-placed Harry Wilson edged closer to the top three in the Monday Junior Snooker League by winning the top group.

Hide AdMeanwhile, six-year-old Jayden Hickley didn't take long to get used to his new cue in the Junior Pool League.
The division two leader kicked off the week-nine action by beating the top two in division one, Keira Hiscock and Jayden Brookes.
Archie Crump won five of his six matches to win the round-robin group and move up one place to fifth.
