THE Hawks endured a torrid afternoon as they suffered a 4-0 defeat against Leyton Orient at Brisbane Road.

In a one-sided Vanarama National League contest the visitors trailed 3-0 at the break.

The hosts remained in charge during the second period and cruised to an easy win.

The visitors made six changes to their starting line-up following their disappointing exit from the FA Cup against Met Police.

Skipper Brian Stock returned from illness to replace the suspended Andreas Robinson.

Dan Strugnell, Ed Harris, Aaron Cosgrove, Ibra Sekajja and Tyler Cordner also returned to action.

Strugnell made an important interception early on as Jobi McAnuff almost slid the ball through to Josh Koroma in the Hawks area.

And it was the hosts who broke the deadlock after twelve minutes.

A free-kick from the right was flicked on, with goalkeeper Ben Dudzinski doing well to push out a point-blank header.

But Josh Coulson was on hand to easily knock the loose ball into the net from three yards.

The Hawks were looking vulnerable every time the O's launched an attack.

Five minutes later the visitors found themselves further behind when Macauley Bonne rose superbly to head home.

The hosts were passing the ball around at will in midfield, with the Hawks having no answer.
