PAUL COOK put the ball in AFC Wimbledon's court after they announced their interest in Matt Tubbs.

Dons boss, Neal Ardley, has stated he would be keen on taking Tubbs back to Kingsmeadow.

The striker caught the eye with his goals during a loan stint from Bournemouth last season, prompting his move to Fratton Park.

Ardley admitted financing a move for the 31-year-old would be problematic, but it is something he would be happy to revisit at the end of the January transfer window.

Cook believes he can’t satisfy the 31-year-old in his search for regular first-team football at Fratton Park – and put the onus firmly on the Dons.

Cook said: ‘Wimbledon have a lot to say, so maybe people should be asking them what they want to do about Matt Tubbs.’
