Pompey and Peterborough fans have been having their say on social media after Saturday’s game. Here’s a selection...

The Portsmouth players offering their condolences to Will’s dad after the applause was very classy and their fans all observed the applause flawlessly. Was very nice to see. Football has rivalry but we’re all people. Respect.

A long time since I was an away fan with #Pompey and was shocked by the vitriol many of the travelling horde aimed at their own players. Yes the performance was dire, but the abuse was personal.

Pompey fans who think today is why we won't go up, it isn't. Think back to Shrewsbury, Wimbledon, Accrington and MK Dons. Those games are why we won't go up. Had we held on at two of those when we lost in the last 10mins, we'd still be 3rd. Win any one of them, we'd be 3rd.

No excuses for such a poor showing today, little positives. But we've had six games in three weeks compared to Posh’s two. Prep and recovery time for such an important game was always going to favour them. Peterborough high energy and technical so needed luck and things going our way.

Need to go into play offs fresher than last year & improve away form. Even though no Lowe or Clarke I think our squad is stronger than last May. Wouldn’t be over confident over two games against any of them. About time we did well in the play offs though.

Kenny Jackett’s tactics away from home just does not work. Dreadful football on the road. Not seen a decent performance yet away from Fratton Park. Without Bass it would have been 5-0.

Big credit to @RonanCurtis1 – not his day on the pitch for @Pompey today, but spoke to or hugged every member of @theposhofficial groundsman Will Whitney’s family as they left the pitch after an emotional minute’s applause to remember the 21-year-old.

@RJerram

Ben Close seems to be the Pompey Twitter target this month. Raggett, Curtis, Hawkins, Brown, Craig McGillivray have all been there. Agree he hasn't been in great form of late. But today other than Bass who honestly can come of the pitch with any pride after that performance?

@thereasonable01

We might be unbeaten at home this season and win the majority of our games, but that doesn’t hide the fact that we’re awful on the road and lose to all our promotion rivals when playing away. We’ve still got to visit Rotherham, Oxford and Ipswich so we need to sort it out.

@tj_malley

Really poor performance against a promotion rival. Only puts more pressure on next games. How much do the players want promotion? #PlayoffPush - pleased for @Danielbutler26 much improved since his time at Fratton.
