With only a third of fixtures remaining, teams are firmly on the final stretch for home.
With 15 games remaining, Pompey are yet again in the race for the Championship.
They presently sit fifth and seven points outside the automatic promotion places, although Kenny Jackett is optimistic a top-two berth can still be secured.
However, the Blues boss reckons all of the current teams that sit in the top 10 will harbour second-tier ambitions of their own.
There’s still likely to be plenty of twists and turns to take place between now and the final day of the campaign on May 8.
Here's what the rest of Pompey’s rivals have been saying...
1. 10th - Oxford United (46 points)
Karl Robinson is convinced the U's are in the play-off race. Speaking after his side's 1-0 loss to Pompey at the end of last month, he told the Oxford Mail: 'We’re in this race. After the game, these players were more hurt than ever and they will push and become better because of the experience. Portsmouth are in the top four and they’re not better than us, that’s the reality of it.' Photo: Graham Hunt
2. 9th - Charlton Athletic (47 points)
Addicks boss Lee Bowyer reckons his side have made too many errors but can yield a top-six berth if they cut mistakes out. He told the South London Press: 'It’s a difficult league. You have to earn every single point. We showed that two years ago when we got promotion, it was so hard. That’s all we can do, keep working hard and trying to do the right things. Those mistakes, we’ve been giving goals away. That’s what has cost us, and decisions. If we can stop that then we’re a decent side and we’ll cause teams problems.' Photo: PA
3. 8th - Accrington (47 points)
John Coleman's side have been one of the shocks of the season. He reckons Stanley will never get a better chance to reach the Championship. He told the Express & Star: 'I don’t think we’ll ever have a better chance. “We’ve got good footballers with a good work ethic. I’ve said for a while that a lot of people think it’s gung-ho spirit here "Little Accy, they’re plucky and they roll their sleeves up". It’s not that, it’s a lot of hard work analysing what we’re doing right and wrong, continually improving.' Photo: Jan Kruger
4. 7th - Ipswich (50 points)
Former Pompey boss Paul Cook has taken charge at Portmand Road and immediately set his sights on automatic promotion. Owner Marcus Evans told twtd.com: ‘I firmly believe that Paul has all the credentials to take Ipswich Town forward and he will receive all the support I can give him to help him achieve that. As Paul has said, promotion to the Championship is the goal for us this season and I know he believes with the squad we have, a top two position is within reach.’ Photo: Joe Pepler
