THIS WEEK IN 1984: Little Roy is faced by another ordeal
Doctors would be working on five-year-old Roy’s arm and chest which were horribly burned when he was engulfed in flames in a mystery accident near the Landport home of a family friend.
Roy ran burning through the streets for five minutes until he got to his mother, Marina Kattenhorn.

Hide AdBut he would face another 20 years of operations and plastic surgery.
His mother said: ‘They’ve been marvellous at Odstock Hospital and they’ve done an incredible job on his back. But the skin graft on his chest and neck failed to take and they will have to do it again.’
