Last Friday, the latest brand on the local drum and bass scene, Rollin', did a fantastic job at The Old Barn with headliner Lynx performing a solid 90-minute set alongside support from Rollin' residents, Murky DnB and Context Audio.

What a great time it is for drum and bass in Portsmouth!

Tonight at Drift Bar, Palmerston Road, South Coast Riot will be putting on some of Portsmouth’s finest alternative rock bands including Sigma Falls, The Bleechers, King Ghidora, and Allergory followed by the Death Pop DJs. Doors open 8pm until 3am, tickets £3 advance, £5 on the door. Go to facebook.comTomorrow night sees the return of my own brand, The Renegade Project, for the launch of our residency at Shack Bar and Kitchen, Albert Road. Taking place on the second Saturday of every month it will entail a free evening of bumping disco, deep/tech/future house and techno vibes. Our headliner for the launch will be one of Portsmouth’s finest female house DJs, Liz Cornick, who has featured at Mutiny Festival, supported many Love Amplified events and created her own residency, LINKZ.

Alongside Liz will be LA-TO, Broken Beats (me!), AD-G and Flatline. Entry from 8.30pm until 1.30am. Go to facebook.comSaturday will see the return of Diemnox at The Old Barn, Milton, with special guests Tommy Mundell and Adam Withers alongside resident DJs Jamie Osborne with Sam and Gary Archer. Diemnox promises more quality tech house and techno with £3 entry on the door before 10pm and £5 after. Doors open from 7.30pm until 1.30am with more details at facebook.comHowever for those into their classic old school dance music, promoters House Knights will be featuring those ‘90s vibes tomorrow at the Cueball Club, Fratton, with more than 10 DJs on the line-up over two rooms.
