RISING pop star Jerry Williams has taken top honours at a new awards night to showcase the best in unsigned music from across the UK.

Her most recent EP, Let’s Just Forget It, won the Best Produced/Engineered title at the first ever Unsigned Music Awards which took place at The Troxy Theatre in London.

She also made the short list of five for the Best EP/Album, which was won by singer-songwriter Rothwell for her Two EP.

Jerry, from Milton in Portsmouth, co-produced the EP with Dan Brown at his studio in Bristol.

‘Even though I’m so proud of the EP, I never thought it would win,’ she said. ‘It feels like all the hard work paid off.

‘It was such a surreal night.’
